FPD Celebrates Luke Shepley, Our November Student of the Month
At FPD, some students stand out not just for what they do, but for who they are—and this month, that student is 10th grader Luke Shepley. Known for his leadership, character, and dedication, Luke makes a positive impact on campus every day.
Luke serves as a student leader for FCA, plays baseball, and participates in church activities. He approaches every activity with energy and a commitment to give his best.
“I love that the teachers at FPD are so involved in your lives. You can be vulnerable with them. It’s always a safe space to talk about your faith and what you're going through,” he shared.
In his second year at FPD, Luke has found a welcoming community where students are inclusive and supportive.
"The students here are really welcoming and inclusive," he said "I’ve found a great group of friends, and everyone is so kind."
Luke’s dedication doesn’t stop in the classroom. “Not only is it biblical—God says to do everything to His glory—but my parents have always motivated me to do a good job. And I try to motivate myself too,” he explained. Teachers consistently notice his effort and character.
Mrs. Lydia Gray, Spanish Teacher, said, “He is kind to everyone, always respectful, and is always willing to volunteer and participate when I need it. He does his very best on everything.”
“Luke is a good student who works hard, is prepared and engaged in class, asks excellent questions, and is very helpful to his classmates. He is a young man of impeccable character,” said Mr. Rennie Atkinson, Social Studies Teacher.

Luke embodies the spirit of an FPD Knight: faithful, hardworking, humble, and joyful. Congratulations, Luke Shepley! We’re proud to celebrate your leadership and heart for our community.
A student of the month is selected each month for FPD. The award recognizes students who exemplify godly character, leadership, and excellence by living out the FPD Profile of a Graduate and striving to change the world for God’s glory. Students are nominated by teachers, and the Principal selects the winner from the nominations.
