Biblical Worldview

What is a worldview?

A worldview is the overall perspective from which an individual or group interprets and understands the world. It encompasses beliefs, values, and assumptions about life, existence, and the nature of reality. A person's worldview shapes their thoughts, decisions, and actions, influencing how they perceive events, relationships, and their place in the world. Different worldviews can arise from cultural, religious, philosophical, and personal experiences.

Instilling a biblical worldview in students

FPD’s Christ-centered education blends strong academics with a foundation of faith, preparing students for future opportunities and challenges. At the core of this is a biblical worldview, which is woven into all subjects.
The basis of this worldview starts with the idea that God created each of us with unique talents. While we recognize that we all are fallen, we also believe in redemption through Christ. This gives us a responsibility to serve others and honor Him in everything we do.
Students explore four facets of the biblical narrative and how those connect in the classroom.
  • How should it be? (Creation)
  • What is wrong? (Fall)
  • How do we fix it? (Redemption)
  • What is the vision for the future? (Hope)
